ABOUT

Our Rebel story

The idea of founding our own tour company was born during a visit to a wine tavern in Grinzing - between "Gemischter Satz" set and a Brettljause.

Almost too good to be true. From the beginning, we were inspired by our friends at "We hate Tourism Tours", the coolest tour company in Lisbon. Gabi worked there for six months as part of her tourism studies and came back home with dozens of new ideas.

Among them some crazy ones and also many good ones. After that we thought about the right name for our project, and quickly came up with a clear approach. We are not dangerous, but we want to do things differently and follow our own path - Rebel Tours Vienna was born.

Buenas noches Che

Then we watched every rebellious movie we could find on Netflix - from Spartacus to Braveheart. Basti even slept in a Che Guevara shirt over the course of two weeks - for research purposes only. Afterwards we had to go through an intensive training phase and pass difficult exams - all that, just to be able to call ourselves state-certified tour guides. With a lot of positive energy and motivation, we brought our idea to life and are ready to shake up the city with you!

GABI

CURLY, COOL, LAID-BACK.

Gabi is a globetrotter. Just like Empress Sisi.

She has travelled in all directions, only to fall in love with the beautiful city of Vienna over and over again.
Gabi knows the hidden corners of the city centre like nobody else and is always available for insider tips - for example, where to REALLY find the best Schnitzel or, for a change, a Brazilian Açaí.
Apart from that, she also knows the best photo spots, in case the Emperor decides to get an Instagram account after all. Whether it is for two hours or three days, Gabi's organisational talent will help you to get the most out of your Vienna holiday. Special requests are welcome.

BASTI

FUNNY, EASY-GOING, also CURLY.

Big brother, who always has some advice for his little sister.

His dream of becoming a professional football player unfortunately didn't work out. As a sports journalist he chatted with Brazilian internationals about Vienna. Now he tells new stories as a tour guide. Mainly because he enjoys it, but probably also because of some serious back pain he got from sitting in the office all day.
Bastis' second home is the Kunsthistorisches Museum but he can also introduce you to Viennese history while running through the city. He is famous for his good sense of humour and if you don't watch out, you might already be friends for life after the first tour.
